To strengthen the Latino community in the finance industry through education, connectivity, career advancement and community service.
In 2008, Oscar Gonzalez and Emanuel Pleitez met while working in sales at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs respectively. They bonded over their shared cultural experiences and belief that more Latinos should be represented at firms like theirs. Eventually they set out to identify and organize Latinos within the industry to develop a more cohesive community. Today LIF has grown to over 1,000 members and is made up of professionals who work at the world’s leading asset managers, public accounting firms, investment banks, private equity firms and more.
